About

A neighborhood pub theater on East Burnside showing second-run features, independent releases, and repertory classics across four screens — all at famously low ticket prices. Grab a slice and a local beer and settle in beneath one of the city's most recognizable neon marquees.

The Laurelhurst Theater opened in 1923 on East Burnside, and its green-and-white art-deco neon marquee has been a beloved East Side landmark ever since. Originally a single-screen movie house, it was renovated and divided into a four-screen pub theater, helping pioneer Portland's now-signature pairing of second-run films with beer and pizza.
