About

A McMenamins neighborhood theater and pub inside a landmark 1905 domed exhibit hall, screening first-run and second-run films with beer and food served to your seat. (Not to be confused with the nearby St. Johns Twin Cinemas a few blocks away.)

Built in 1905 as the National Cash Register Company's exhibit hall for Portland's Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition, this domed landmark was meant to stand for only the six months of the World's Fair. It survived instead — serving over the decades as a Lutheran church, an American Legion post, and a neighborhood pub — before McMenamins restored it into a movie house and brewpub. Its golden dome and pillared portico remain a distinctive landmark at the north end of the city.
