Week of June 18 – 24, 2026
67 films across 16 independent theaters in Portland this week. Well it's definitely summer! So far we've had a Star War, a Spielberg, and now a Pixar. Soon will be a super hero, and an epic (or should I say EPIC). But there are a lot of good throwbacks to see as well. Barry Lyndon (Kubrick), Paris is Burning, Dog Day Afternoon, Boogie Nights, and Boyz N The Hood. So get out there and enjoy our cinema summer!

Right after the first Toy Story released, I got to work with Pixar and Disney Interactive to create a website to promote and sell their Toy Story PC game. It was a crazy experience. Pixar was still in their early Richmond, CA offices and going there and meeting with them was super exciting. The buzz of creativity (no pun intended) was inspiring. Why these geniuses couldn't make a website was beyond me, but hey I'll take their money. That was in late 1995. It's now 31 years later and we're still wondering what's going on with those toys. Let's find out this week!
