50 films across 19 independent theaters in Portland this week. I've been away again. Went to Oakland for the Mosswood Meltdown to see Iggy Pop, Pavement, Wednesday, Toody Cole, Otoboke Beaver, Dead Milkmen, The Return of Jackie and Judy, and Bikini Kill. It was a wild time as always. I saw the Odyssey yesterday at the OMSI. Great Christopher Nolan! Really entertaining and worth seeing if you haven't already. Clearly there's no way you can make the Odyssey within the parameter of a 3 hour film, so take it for what it is - entertainment. Then read the poem.
