70 films across 19 independent theaters in Portland this week. You all are You Can See Everything maniacs! I don't blame you! Even I have had a hard time getting a ticket. Makes me wonder if they will expand the release here in Portland. Our data says yes! But now is the time for Wildwood! A beautiful and painstakingly crafted stop-motion animation masterpiece. This is a Portland production if there ever was one. From the classic Colin Meloy story based in town, to the development and production by Laika. Plus our crows! I hope everyone sees it.

After her baby brother is abducted by a murder of crows, Prue and her classmate Curtis stumble upon a secret world in the midst of violent upheaval—a world full of warring creatures, peaceable mystics, and powerful figures with dark intentions. And what begins as a rescue mission becomes something much greater as the two find themselves entwined in a struggle for the very freedom of this wilderness—a wilderness the locals call Wildwood.
